Compete at the Park

  • Horse Trials / Eventing

Eventing is integral to the Park, as both a core element of our history and one of the standouts of our facility’s offerings. Our cross-country courses have been created by famed international designers, and our competitions are exhilarating to watch. We host three Horse Trials each year--in spring, summer and fall--and our October Horse Trial includes FEI offerings up through Advanced CCI4*S. Outside of these USEA competitions, the Park is home to a variety of eventing clinics and Pony Club events, and we support cross-country schooling for our membership.

  • Hunter / Jumper

The Park's Hunter/Jumper shows are a large draw for competitors and spectators alike. The Park hosts one thrilling week of FEI CSI2* show jumping--as well as AA-rated hunter, jumper and equitation classes--during our July charity show produced by Split Rock Jumping Tour. We are proud to welcome West Palms Event Management each year for six exciting weeks of AA-rated Hunter/Jumper shows at the Park, taking place in two-week segments in April/May, June and August. Valued show producer Woodside Show Series hosts four wonderful weekends of unrated Hunter/Jumper shows over the course of the season, providing terrific competition opportunities for emerging juniors and amateurs who love the sport.

  • Dressage

Dressage is very popular at the Park. We host one recognized Dressage show in June and the San Francisco Peninsula Chapter of the California Dressage Society hosts a second dressage show in July. Additionally, dressage classes are offered at a few of the Woodside Show Series competitions each season to advance the development of horse/rider pairs.

  • Western

The Park has hosted Reining shows for over 20 years, and 2025 marked the introduction of a fantastic new show: the Woodside Slide. The Park maintains an arena designed for Reining schooling for our membership. In addition to Reining, the Park hosts Western recreational riding and occasional clinics. Past offerings have included Equestrian Drill Team, Extreme Cowboy and Natural Horsemanship clinics.

  • Vaulting

The Park hosts Vaulting shows each season, welcoming competitors from novice to elite USEF and FEI levels. Woodside Vaulters, a resident non-profit organization at the Park, is one of the largest and most successful vaulting clubs in the U.S. Their programs serve athletes up to the highest international level, including gold medals at the World Equestrian Games.

The Horse Park Polo Club holds United States Polo Association tournaments at the Park, with The Founder’s Cup serving as the premiere event each fall. The Club also hosts several Just for Fun tournaments and offers lessons and clinics to emerging players. The Club provides horses and equipment for beginners. Additionally, Stanford University's Polo Club Team holds some of their season's practices and competitions at the Park.
