Reminder of Park Biosecurity Rules for The Horse Park at Woodside
September 5, 2025
Please remember: We all have a duty to keep horses healthy and safe at the Park. Please do your part.
1) All horses coming to the Park—for any reason or any duration—must be up to date
on all vaccinations.
2) In bringing a horse to Park grounds, you are self-certifying that the horse has no
known illness and is current on all vaccinations.
3) No horses may come to the Park from a facility with: a) active strangles cases, or b)
prior strangles cases confirmed within the past 21 days.
4) Healthy horses that have vacated a facility that had active strangles cases may not
enter Park grounds until 21 days have passed from their date of departure from the
contaminated facility.
5) No horses may come to the Park from a facility under state monitored quarantine of
any kind (e.g., for a communicable disease like EHV-1). They must wait a minimum 14
days after all quarantine restrictions have been fully officially lifted.
The Park has no known cases of any equine communicable diseases at this
time. There have been multiple outbreaks of strangles in local locations over the last
few months, so we are reminding our community about the rules for coming to our
facility.
The Horse Park at Woodside welcomes thousands of horses each year for schooling,
clinics, pleasure riding and shows. We need the full cooperation of everyone.
